Emmanuel Arthur educating parents
This call to action arose during a recent training program organized by Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana [CLOGSAG], where parents were enlightened on the imperative of fostering online discipline in their children.

Expressing concern about the negative influences online, Mr. Arthur warns that exposure to harmful content can significantly impact children’s future. The campaign aims to empower parents in guiding their children towards positive online behaviors.

Addressing the alarming trend of exploitation through activities like “Sexting,” Arthur underscores the urgency for parents to intervene and protect their children from these dangers.

Emphasizing early intervention, he encourages parents to initiate conversations with their children from infancy, believing that proactive guidance is crucial in shaping a safer online environment for the younger generation.
Principal Program Officer of Ghanaian Against Child Abuse (GACA), Abena Apreku Abadu Aboagye also noted that parents have a lot of responsibilities in protecting their children as she says contact engagement with the children will give them the chance to also open up on whatever they going through.

She added that child abuse is on the rise and says, Government agencies are also intensifying the education to curb the increasing rate of child abuse but she says the effort would be meaningless of the parents don’t put enough efforts.
