International Fertilizer Development Centre (IFDC) has made a deep commitment to tackle challenges facing Ghanaian farmers and supporting Ghana’s national Agricultural transformation Agenda to improve food security and livelihood in the country and beyond.
During the IFDC 2024 Open Door event on the occasion of its 50 years anniversary launch on February 15, IFDC shares its achievement and success stories of the organization.

“IFDC is deeply committed to supporting the agricultural transformation agenda in Ghana and across the African continent. Our mission is rooted in empowering farmers, enhancing soil fertility, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and ensuring food security for all.”
He urged individuals to embrace collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity to achieve in a goal of agricultural transformation in the country.

“I urge each one of us gathered here today to embrace the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity as we work towards our shared goal of agricultural transformation in Ghana. Let us leverage our collective strengths, knowledge, and resources to overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and build a brighter future for our farmers, communities, and the country Ghana.
The Acting Country Director for IFDC Ghana, Judith Fagbegnon Kodjo said IFDC have invested more than 22 million Ghana Cedis in the country through the implementation of our various projects, impacting the lives of our farmers and other stakeholders.

She also used the opportunity to expressed her appreciation to the government for its unfailing support.

Touching on IFDC’s 50 years of contributions to global agriculture, Williams Kwame Atakora, the IFCDC Soil Scientist added that through the Fertilizer search and respond implementation program, IFDC have contributed immensely to the increase of food production as well as changing the attitude of the youth towards agriculture.
