The bail comes after Shatta Wale was taken into custody on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, for questioning over tax compliance issues related to his Lamborghini and business operations.

According to Shatta Wale’s media manager, Sammy Flex, the artist’s legal team and management are working to meet the bail requirements for his release.

Flex assured that the team is working tirelessly to resolve the issue, which centers on taxes owed on the luxury vehicle and the artist’s business dealings.

Shatta Wale reportedly presented himself voluntarily at the EOCO offices with his lawyer, Cephas Biyuo, to assist with investigations. His team is optimistic about meeting the bail conditions by Thursday, August 21, 2025.

During a live discussion on 3music TV, Shatta Wale said the youth always blame politicians for not creating job opportunities in the country meanwhile they are not willing to venture into business that will give them more money to make life meaningful.

“Sometimes, when we blame the politicians, I laugh. Politicians are doing everything they can to work as politicians. It’s just that when you’re lazy in your mind and you don’t know how to take advantage of opportunities yourself, you will always be talking about politicians”.

According to him, “Politicians are like cartels with how they run things. It’s not that they’re disrespecting the people; they promise, and you vote for them. But when they go to the white man and take money from them, the white man thinks that they will use it to provide jobs for the youth. They don’t know that the politician will take that money and give it to cheap labour, those from the rural areas,”.

He added that “they know that those who went to tertiary institutions will not apply. Our politicians have realised that the youth want flashy things and to wear suits. They don’t want to go into construction. But there’s a lot of money in construction.”

He advised the youth to be more proactive and creative and to stop waiting for the government to fix their problem.
