According to him, the challenges Ghana is facing is not only with Ghana but a global challenge which he says all and sundry must know and stop blaming only government and accept reality.

He was speaking to the media when GITFic made the recommendation in its research paper titled: ” Unravelling the Global Central Banks’ Losses. Focus on Africa And Europe and Global debt to GDP post Covid-19 (Focus on Sub Saharan Africa).

The research sort to underline the challenges the country and the Bank of Ghana has gone through and how fast the economy is reviving and what needs to be done by the government.

Mr Ackom stressed that, the world is suffering from major crisis as a result of the COVID and effects of the Russia and Ukraine war which Ghana is not exempted.

He added that, the Bank of Ghana’s timely intervention helped the country’s economy which he says has resulted in the huge debt.

Mr Ackom there urged Ghanaians to stop underestimating the effects of Covid and Russia Ukraine war on the country’s economy but says the country is reviving.

Also, a Financial Analyst, Kweku Adoboli on the other hand admitted that, the country’s economy suffered tremendous due to the global challenges as he says, the depreciation of the cedi was actually as a source of the COVID 19 and the Russia and Ukraine war.

He added that, Ghana’s economy is linked with that’s of the global economies so its natural for Ghana to face such challenges as he says big economies also faced these challenges and debts.
