The International Scouts and Guides Fellowship (ISGF) Ghana Chapter embarked on a seven-day walk from Kumasi to Accra to promote peace ahead of the December elections. The walk took place from November 21-28, 2024, started from the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi and ended at the Palace of the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II.
The walk, themed “A Call to Unity: Fly the Flag for Peace,” saw hundreds of scouts waving the Ghana flag as a symbol of unity and spreading the message of peace.

At the Ga Mantse palace, the event was attended by the Paramount Chief of the Sempe Traditional Area, Nii Adote Otintor II, elders of the king, group members, and leaders, who warmly welcomed the participants.

Speaking to the media after meeting with Ga Mantse at his palace, Mr. Albert Tetteh Botchwey, Board Chairman of International Scouts and Guides Fellowship (ISGF), stated that despite challenges, the group successfully completed the walk without a causality.
He emphasized that the walk aimed to inspire unity and peace among Ghanaians ahead of the December 7 election.

Mr. Botchwey encouraged all Ghanaians to vote peacefully and resist any attempts to incite chaos on the election day.

His Royal Majesty, Ga Mantse, King Teiko Tackie Tsuru II, welcomed the noble group in his Ga Language at his palace and expressed gratitude towards the great historical peace initiative, showcasing Ghana’s rising unity.
