In a bid to maintain law and order, the Ghana Police Service has arrested 26 individuals for brandishing and indiscriminately firing toy guns in public.
According to the Police press statement, the suspects are currently cooperating with investigations and will soon face justice in court.
A quantity of toy guns have been retrieved from the suspects as part of the police investigation into this growing menace.

The police are taking this issue seriously, as it has the potential to disturb the peace and create fear among citizens.

The police urged the youth to refrain from this behavior, as it constitutes offensive conduct that can lead to breaches of the peace, contrary to Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).

The Ghana Police Service reassures the public that they will do everything in their power to maintain peace and order in the country. This operation is part of the police’s efforts to ensure that Ghana remains a safe and secure place for all citizens.
