In a heartwarming display of compassion, National Youth Authority (NYA) CEO Osman Ayariga has made good on his promise to support Solomon Akugru, a survivor of the devastating June 3, 2015, flood disaster.
Akugru has been enrolled in the National Apprenticeship Programme, thanks to a public appeal by blogger Kobby Kyei’s Touching Lives initiative.

Akugru’s story is one of resilience in the face of tragedy. After suffering severe facial injuries in the disaster, he was abandoned by his family and forced to beg on the streets. However, thanks to Kyei’s advocacy and Ayariga’s swift action, Akugru now has a chance to rebuild his life.
This inspiring act of kindness showcases the impact of community-driven initiatives and responsible leadership.
