Just In: Police Link Recent Arrest to New CCTV Footage of Vehicle Break-In

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has revealed a possible connection between the recently arrested criminal syndicate and a new CCTV footage showing a daring vehicle break-in at Anloga Junction in Kumasi.

According to the police, the footage dated June 17, 2025, captures a suspect pretending to make a phone call while leaning against a Toyota Rav4. The individual then discreetly breaks into a nearby parked vehicle and steals a bag before fleeing the scene on a waiting motorbike.

Notably, the Toyota Rav4 speeds off immediately after the motorbike, suggesting a coordinated operation. This incident bears striking similarities to the modus operandi of the syndicate arrested two days ago, which was allegedly involved in trailing bank customers and stealing from parked vehicles.

The police are currently reviewing the CCTV footage and analyzing evidence to determine if the arrested syndicate is linked to this specific incident. Further investigations are underway to apprehend any additional suspects and bring them to justice.
