The Nuumo Kofi Anum Family of Tesa, Teshie-Accra, has issued a rejoinder to counter false claims made by Regimanuel Gray Limited regarding a disputed land judgment. The family asserts that Regimanuel’s recent publication misrepresents the legal position and seeks to clarify the facts surrounding the case.

According to the Tesa Family, the Supreme Court of Ghana has affirmed their lawful and allodial ownership of over 918.24 acres of land, including 123.2088 acres currently occupied by Regimanuel Gray Limited. The family relies on the Supreme Court’s definitive judgment and a duly submitted composite plan, which determined that the land developed and enclosed by Regimanuel falls within the family’s allodial land.

The Tesa Family disputes Regimanuel’s claim that a stay of execution was granted, stating that the judgment had already been executed before any application for a stay was entertained. They argue that the execution was levied before any application for a stay was made, rendering Regimanuel’s assertion false and misleading.

Furthermore, the family highlights that the Court found land titles relied upon by Regimanuel to be wrongfully issued, as they were granted by the Nungua Stool, a party that had already lost ownership of the land in the Supreme Court. The Court held that only the Tesa Family can grant valid title over the said land.

The Spokesperson for the Nuumo Kofi Anum Family of Tesa, Peace-Maker Djan, speaking to the media, advised the public to disregard the false claims and misleading publications by Regimanuel Gray Limited.

It is regrettable that Regimanuel Gray Limited, instead of complying with lawful orders and engaging respectfully with the rightful owners, has resorted to misinformation and public propaganda, apparently in an attempt to avoid accountability.

The Tesa Family reaffirms that:

1. ‘They are the undisputed allodial owners of the 918.24 acres, including the arca unlawfully occupied by Regimanuel;

2. The Supreme Court judgment in their favour remains binding and has not been overturned or stayed;

3. The so-called “stay of execution” was granted after execution had already been effected, and therefore cannot invalidate it;

4. They are no longer interested in any settlement negotiations with Regimanuel;

5. They will pursue all lawful means to enjoy the full fruits of their judgment.

Mr Peace-Maker Djan, Spokesperson of the Tesa Family stressed that, they remain committed to due process and the rule of law and will continue to assert and protect its legally established nights.
