The Administrator of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), Dr. Richard Ampofo Boadu, has disclosed that between 2017 and September 2024, the fund completed 3,077 infrastructure projects.
These comprise 1,608 basic school, 1,298 senior high school, two technical and vocational education, 16 E-Blocks, two model schools and 153 tertiary-level projects.

At a stakeholder forum organized by GETFund at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Dr. Boadu revealed that completed projects include legacy initiatives by the previous NDC government.
The forum, themed ‘Supporting the delivery of quality education: The Impact of GETFund,’ highlighted the fund’s exceptional performance from 2017 to 2024.
Dr. Boadu also confirmed that all disabled students who applied for scholarships this year received support
“I’m pleased to report that our 2022 awardee is currently in the UK enjoying his scholarship,” he said.
The GETFund has also made strides in digitalization, ensuring that all their projects are digitized for better efficiency.


He added that GETFUND has performed extremely well from 2017 to 2024, looking at the projects they have undertaken.
Reading a speech on behalf of Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Chief Director Mrs. Maamle Andrews emphasized that education and infrastructure promote quality education, transforming teaching and learning. Students require better learning environments to excel and access upgraded education opportunities across Ghana’s 16 regions.

GETFund’s efforts prioritize Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, with initiatives like scholarships and infrastructure development. The fund has built STEM schools and centers to encourage students to pursue STEM-related courses.
