Ghanaian farmers have been admonished to consider inculcating modern technologies into their farming practices to help boost food production.
This came up during the 8th Ghana Fruits and Vegetables Fair 2024, which was held at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Accra.

The Fair, which was on the theme: Working Together; Taking Horticulture to the Next Level.
This fair aims at bringing together all stakeholders in the farming sector to deliberate and find better ways in helping farmers in Ghana improve on the best and modern day technologies in farming practices.
Speaking to journalists, Madam Catherine Krobo Edusei, who is the Managing Director Eden Tree Limited, noted that it is important for farmers and all other stakeholders to abreast themselves with the new technologies that are being used in farming practices as she says it will go a long way in helping boost production.

She also added that it is important for the youth to also engage themselves in farming as she says it is a more stable and reliable source of income for the youth.
Madam Krobo Edusei also highlighted their main aim which is to help the country to become self-sufficient in food production thus the need to get more hands on board such more farmers, Small, Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and the youth to push this forward.
Adding, the CEO for Lush Farms, Louisa Amissah, on her part, also outlined the major challenges farmers face in Ghana as she says, the government has not done enough financially in supporting the farmers making it difficult for them.

She used the opportunity to also call on individuals and corporate Ghana to come to the aid of farmers in Ghana for them to be able to boost food productivity.
