This came up, after the court called the lawyers of both sides and issued the caveat.

Earlier, the High Court had restrained the head of the family, Kwame Owusu, from going ahead to organise the final funeral rites of the music icon on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

The court ordered him to convene a family meeting, involving all sides, within three days to plan the funeral.

The order from the court followed an application for an injunction by some of the maternal family members of Daddy Lumba, including his sister Ernestina Brempomaa, and his uncle, Yaw Opoku.

The funeral home, Transitions, where the body is being preserved, was also restrained from releasing the body to the head of the family for the planned Saturday event.

But after the court called the lawyers back, a caveat was issued that the applicants should pay GH¢2 million by 2 pm today. This is to help cover the costs incurred by the family head as of now towards the preparation of the Saturday, December 13, 2025 event.

Graphic Online’s Justice Agbenorsi reports from the court that Daddy Lumba’s maternal family members are the applicants in the persons of Obaapanin Afia Adomah, Robert and Georgina Gyamfi, Ernestina Brempomaa Fosuh, and Nana Afia Kobi.

The defendants are — Kofi Owusu (family head), Cal Bank (managers of the DL Foundation), and Transitions (funeral home)

The applicants, for whom the injunction ruling went in their favour, are to pay the GH¢2 million to the family head, Kofi Owusu, because of the costs he has incurred in organising the family as of now.

His lawyers were asking for GH¢5 million, but the court ordered GH¢2 million.

The mode of payment was not specified, so it can be either cash or cheque.

Prophet Bernard El Bernard Gifts Edward Akwasi Boateng New Car And Scholarship For His Kids – [Video] https://www.mymctvonline.com/prophet-bernard-el-bernard-gifts-edward-akwasi-boateng-new-car-and-scholarship-for-his-kids-video/ https://www.mymctvonline.com/prophet-bernard-el-bernard-gifts-edward-akwasi-boateng-new-car-and-scholarship-for-his-kids-video/#respond Sun, 25 Feb 2024 21:08:18 +0000 https://www.mymctvonline.com/?p=2815 Gospel singer, Edward Akwasi Boateng of Makoma So Ade fame can heave a sigh of relief from his present financial struggles.

Prophet Bernand El Bernard, the head pastor of Spirit Life Revival Ministry in Accra has hugely supported him by gifting him a new car, full scholarship for his children to the university and monthly allowance to lessen his recent financial struggles.

In a viral video online, Edward Akwasi Boateng is called to the front of the church, with Prophet El Bernard explaining the reason for which he is supporting the artiste.

In the same video, the man of God also presented a car to Akwasi Boateng at the Spiritual Revival Ministry where the latter worshipped today.

Touched by the unexpected gesture and moved to tears, Akwasi Boateng expressed his profound gratitude to Prophet El-Bernard for supporting him at his lowest.

The gesture is certainly some good news coming in for the gospel artiste whose grace to grass story has been a centre of social media discussions since videos of him selling pen drives and CDs hit the internet earlier this week.

The gospel musician, facing financial hardship, made a passionate appeal to the public to support him by purchasing his music.

Akwasi Boateng has been open about his marital crisis and how it largely contributed to his present unfavorable conditions and financial burden.

Last two years, he disclosed how his quest to meet up the high demands of his now divorced wife led to the selling of his 17 cars, plunging him into his current financial dungeon.

For gospel music enthusiasts, Akwasi Boateng has paid his dues in the Ghanaian gospel fraternity having blessed people with songs such as “Makoma so Ade,” “Kae asem a waka,” and “mebo wodin” among other well-known songs.

Hence, a video of him hawking on the stress of Kumasi became a matter of concern to his large following and it’s expected that Prophet El-Bernard’s assistance will go a long way to better his life.

This revelation was made public through a post on the official Guinness World Records platform, responding to an individual who sought clarification on the outcome of the singing marathon.

Afua Asantewaa Aduonum had embarked on a remarkable endeavour to break the existing record for the longest continuous singing marathon, a feat that demands immense endurance and vocal prowess.

However, the GWR, in response to queries, clarified that the attempt did not meet the criteria required for a successful record-breaking achievement.

The singing marathon, a test of both physical and vocal stamina, captivated the attention of enthusiasts and supporters who eagerly awaited the confirmation from the Guinness World Records.

While the attempt may not have resulted in a new record, the courage and determination displayed by Afua Asantewaa Aduonum in undertaking such a challenging feat are commendable.
