The Ghana Police Service has taken swift action in response to a disturbing viral video showing a 12-year-old boy being subjected to severe beatings and torture. The incident occurred in the New Ankasa community near Elubo in the Western Region, where the boy was accused of stealing GHC 200.

According to a statement signed by Superintendent of Police Olivia E.T Adika, Head of Public Affairs Unit, Western Region, two suspects identified in the video have been arrested.
The Suspects are Issah Morro, 58 years old, Suleman Abdul Rashid, 27 years old.

Both suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations. The police have confirmed that the victim has received medical attention and has been safely reunited with his father.
The Half Assini Divisional Police Command has assured the public of their safety and urged everyone to report any suspicious or harmful behavior promptly to the nearest police station. This development comes as a relief to many, and the police are working to ensure justice is served.
