The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on Ghanaians to back its flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming elections, emphasizing his forward-thinking policies aimed at positioning Ghanaian youth as global leaders in Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, the NPP’s Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, highlighted the transformative potential of Dr. Bawumia’s policies.
He stated that these initiatives align with emerging global trends in technology and innovation.
Ahiagbah criticized the opposition’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), claiming that Mahama lacks a vision for embracing advancements in AI and IT.
He urged Ghanaians to reject the NDC leader, arguing that his approach does not reflect the needs of a modern, tech-driven world.
The NPP reiterated its commitment to leveraging technology as a tool for development, particularly in empowering the youth, and urged voters to consider the future trajectory of the nation when casting their ballots.
