GHANAIANS HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE PEACEFUL, FREE, AND FAIR ELECTIONS IN DECEMBER- DR AHLIJAH

The President of Ghana Christian University College, Dr. Nelson Swedstrup Ahlijah has stated that it is the duty of all and sundry to ensure peaceful, free, and fair elections in the upcoming December general elections.

According to him, this upcoming election is a crucial one for the country so therefore he urge every Ghanaian to conduct themselves well to protect the peace the country has.

Dr Nelson Swedstrup Ahlijah was speaking to the media during the 1st Graduation Certificate in Counseling organized by Ghana Christian University College, which was held in Accra.

The theme for the graduation was : “Empowering Mind, Bridging the Gap between Faith and Psychology for a Transformed Society.”

Dr Ahlijah noted that the world is full of stress, and so, therefore, he advices the counselors to identify those going through stress in the country and come alongside with them to help them come out from the stress they are battling from.

He said the counselors are there to serve God and mankind and anything they do will have their reward, whether good or bad.

He also admonished counselors to stay in their place of office to give support to those suffering, but says if they want to come to public and make any comments, they must be guided by God.

Also, a Lecturer at the Ghana Christian University College, Rev Josephine Kafui Tetteh on her part also said, the graduation is vital to the counselors and the country as she says, the counselors needed to taken through series of training on how to support and help relive those who need help off their stress and suffering.

She says counselors must take advantage and go through education to get a better understanding of how the work is done.
