Presidential Aspirant of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ken Ohene Agyapong has finally accept his defeat in the election of 2023 NPP Presidential primaries in good faith.
Speaking at the end of the election, Kennedy Agyapong who tried to give his party a showdown has now described the end of the election as fairness.
However, he then declares his intension to rally behind the party and his intention to quit the showdown agenda.
Ken Agyapong also used the opportunity to advise the party members and leaders to be united to achieve the task ahead of them by ‘breaking the 8″ for the party.
He therefore expressed his gratitude to the members of the party and those who voted for him and supported his vision.
The four presidential aspirants of governing NPP, who were pre-selected from 10 candidate during the super delegate conference have accepted their the fate after declaring Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the winner for New Patriotic Party (NPP) of total valid vote(118.210) having 61.43% beaten Ken Agyapong with (71.991) with 37.41% .
In all, the delegates however, has chosen Vice President, Dr Bawumia to lead the party’s desire to break the 8 jinx under the Fourth Republic.
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, former Assin Central MP, snapped the second place, followed by former Agric Minister, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto on the third place (1,459) with 0.76%, former MP for Ashanti Mampong, Francis Addai-Nimoh to the fourth place (781) with 0.41% after total valid cast vote.
